In Lipsticks we trust!

The two most commonly used Lipstick shades are Pinks and Reds… These are the most widely used lip colours and have the miraculous effect of making women look put together in an instant!

Lipsticks are akin to lethal weapons of makeup for women and pink and red are two shades which suit women of all skin types and tones and go with almost all kind of makeup and clothing.

Truly, by investing in the right kind of lipstick we can conquer the world!

This is my first makeup review of two different brands of lip colors in two different shades as well as the difference in the type and texture of the Lipsticks.

The first Lipstick is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish lipstick by Kate Moss in the number 28 and the second lipstick is the Loreal Paris Matte Effect lipstick in shade Raspberry Syrup number R517.

Both these lipsticks have been quite the rage since they were launched in their respective genres and are still very popular.

Shade: Light Pink

Texture: It’s a mixture of a very creamy and glossy texture on the lips and doesn’t dry the lips at all. However, it is not buttery smooth either, even though it gives a slightly glossy look to the lips. 3/5

Pigmentation: Is up to the mark and the colour comes in a single swipe, also, the lipstick doesn’t bleed post application. 3/5

Packaging: it comes in a simple black package with the signature of Kate Moss on the cover which gives it a cute touch. Packaging is sturdy and neat for the price. 2.5/5

Price: INR 275

Duration: Claims to be 8hours but according to my experience, the colour stayed on only for 3-4 hours and then, it wore off completely during the day especially after a meal. Hence, requires complete reapplication. 2.5/5

Loreal Paris Matte Effect lipstick in shade Raspberry syrup number R517

Shade: Red with a tinge of pink

Texture: The texture is extremely matte yet smooth on the lips. However, the lips feel dry after a couple of hours. 3/5

Pigmentation : is excellent and the color comes in a single swipe. However, the lipstick tends to bleed at times.

Packaging: it comes in a smart metallic package with the shade embossed in the center. The packaging is unique and attractive and makes the lip color appear to be of a premium range. 4/5

Duration: the lipstick is definitely very long lasting at least 6-8 hours in my experience. However, post a meal or drink the lipstick smudges even though the color remains on the lips and that doesn’t look so nice

hence, requires a touch up 3.5/5
